Missions Trip to Mexico - 3/24/08

The Ark International Church is a missions-minded church. This year we are providing the opportunity to travel to the Baja area of Mexico, March 24 - 31, 2008. The trip is being headed up by Pastor Jim Paisley. We will be taking a team of 10 people from the church. We will be working, ministering, and serving at an Assemblies of God Orphanage. Keep the team in prayer during the week. Together we make missions possible!

The Ark International Church will be hosting it's annual: Mad Migration - an all-nite Marathon for students of eastern NC. Students will gather at the Family Life Center at 8pm on Friday, February 8th til Saturday at 6am on the 9th. The night will consist of powerful ministry, drama, concert, movie, skating, bowling, and various games. The cost is $15 and space is limited. This is for the purpose of praying, seeking the Lord on behalf of our families, our church, our community, our nation, and the world. Replace a meal, a diet, or a habit with prayer. The Ark International Church will be hosting a Summer Surf Camp on Monday, August 6th through Friday, August 10th at Jeanette's Pier in Nags Head, NC. The camp is open to anyone 10 or older ( must be good swimmer). The camp will be held daily from 8am to 11am, meeting at the pier. For inclement weather, meet at the Family Life Center ( mp 11.5 Nags Head) for indoor instruction. Camp costs $10 a day. Items to bring: Surfboard ( if you don't own one, you can rent one from Outer Banks Boarding Company), Sunblock, towel, and possibly a Rash guard ( purchase at any surf shop). National Week of Prayer - 10/23/06

The Assemblies of God has called a national week of prayer and fasting. The Ark International Church will be participating in this high calling. During the week of October 23 - 29, the church doors will be open for anyone wanting to pray in the sanctuary between 9am and 5pm. Prayer for our nation is of great importance! In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God says, "If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Take the challenge from the Lord and let's see what He will do!

Looking for an opportunity to serve? We've been given a quarterly opportunity to minister at our local jail in Manteo. Ministry will include conducting a worship service for both men and women. Music, Worship, Singing, preaching, teaching, praying, testifying, etc. are some of the things we'll be doing. A strong calling and committment are required. Superconference 2006 will be held on Sunday, October 1st through Wednesday, October 4th at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. The Church will be taking a van to the Conference, leaving on Sunday afternoon ( @ 12:30) and returning Wednesday Evening ( @ 9pm). The Theme this year is: Back to the Future, Back to the basics in order to change the future. Guest Speakers include: Dr. Ergun Caner, Dr. David Jeremiah, Dr. Jerry Vines, and Dr. Jerry Hunt. A Missions Trip is being planned for October 19 - 28, 2006. The trip will be to Wales, UK. The itinerary will include: prayer, worship, street-evangelism, vacation bible school, youth ministry, etc. The cost of the trip will be @ $950.
